Nutritionist-led
Independent Kitchen Program
Run and written by a Qualified Nutritionist, the Mix Taste Eat Independent Kitchen Program is designed to support people living with disabilities to build confidence, independence, and everyday life skills through cooking.
Being able to prepare a meal for yourself can create a strong sense of independence, particularly for those who rely on support in other areas of daily life. These nutritionist-led capacity building classes provide participants with the opportunity to develop practical cooking skills, increase confidence in the kitchen, socially connect with others, and participate in a fun and supportive group environment.
Each class is hands-on, inclusive, and designed to encourage participants to learn at their own pace while building confidence through achievable, real-life cooking experiences.
Our menus continue to evolve with input from participants, focusing on meals and skills they are genuinely interested in learning. As a Nutritionist, Daneyl’s goal is to provide guidance, encouragement, and a welcoming environment where participants can make friends, develop independence, and enjoy cooking nourishing food together.
